Just on a whimsy, I entered the book in the annual National Writers Association Novel Contest – the most prestigious freelance writers contest in the country. I've entered books before, but never placed among the top winners.

Had it not been for Linda Lane's encouragement, my manuscript would be collecting dust. However, she was able to work with my voice and my style, showing me the areas that needed polishing and helping me refine my own writing skills.
