It has been a wonderful
experience to work with Ms. L. Lane
[our in-house editor/book
doctor] in the Editing of my English version, something that
has demanded a great deal of work on her part. Obviously, due to
the book's great success, she has done an excellent job. I am
looking forward to doing business with her and her company; may I
add that we have already started to work on my latest
translations.

My book is on the market and primed to meet the competition
because of one factor—an exceptional job of editing.
My taskmaster of choice was Linda Lane, owner of Edit et
Cetera Ltd. Cutting out the 'junk' of wordy, run-on sentences and
replacing adverbs with rich, nutritious action words resulted in
sleek, flowing paragraphs, keeping that reader reading.
Linda was always professional and courteous, keeping close contact
with me. Having
a good understanding of my genre and the era, she kept a keen
sense of my characters' personalities and goals and was vigilant
in maintaining my 'voice.' I
have been receiving outstanding (and unsolicited!) feedback from
my readers, many who express eagerness to read my next novel…all
to the credit of an incomparable editor.

Our purpose at
Edit et Cetera and Stepping Stones Press is to assist
each writer we publish to
realize his or her dream.
All manuscripts can benefit
from the attention of a
competent editor. We work
very hard to assure that each
manuscript we publish is
the very best it can be.
Do we insist that we edit every
book we publish? Not at all!
However, we may require
the writer to enlist the services
of a qualified editor or book doctor of the writer's choosing
if we are to publish the book.
Quality books speak well for
for all of us. For this reason
we strive for excellence in
all the books we publish. |
